Middle aged fellow raised in rural Midwest of United States. Roamed around to live in Cape Cod, Vermont, Minnesota, Hawaii and California before my inability to get beyond the Nebraska event horizon pulled me back home.
Has developed interests in renewable energy (especially wind power) and open source software (Linux, etc.) over the years. Currently working on developing a couple of web sites with renewable and sustainable themes.
Has spent time academically studying in a wide variety of fields. Undergrad degree in microbiology with minors in German and chemistry. Masters degree in industrial and management system engineering. Recently completed work on a two-year early childhood education degree.
Involved in Green and other progressive type political activities. Enjoys readings in renewable energy, computers, politics, science fiction and biography. Book reviews such as the NY Review of Books are particular favorites.
